Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Q1 results

I’m surprised someone hasn’t already commented on the quarterly results. I'm not at all optimistic about what will happen next, but I don't worry so much anymore if I get laid off because I'll finally get some relief.

I'll just drop this here:

They kept the best people to make kickass powerpoints so their managers can show Maria. Other than that, I can't think of any new technology coming out that can truly exceed their competition's offering.

Riiiiiight. Things are rosy you think?

They’ve RIF’d the talent and experience to save money. 🤔 that’s making things look better, but in no way is BKR positioned to gain market share. So they’re saving by reducing.

That’s like saying switching to cold meats from prime steaks 🥩 and Ta–g from Simply Orange 🍊 and saying you’re better off nowadays since you’re saving on groceries.

Leadership: things are 👍🏼

Anyone still at BKR talking sm––k needs to get their heads checked. Q1 numbers are a direct reflection of what’s left of the frontline and Middle management. You can say what you want the numbers don’t lie.

Wow!
