Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

A contradiction between stock price and morale

I find it fascinating how this company’s stock price is soaring after the pre–announcement of results and on the same day this page garners multiple posts about how terrible the working environment is and how inept the executives are. This brings into question how much longer the company has on the gravy train before it details... is this really the right place to be investing? Seems to me the executives need to be spending more time on their people... there’s no way to execute on a product roadmap with unhappy people or worse, without their people.

This is what we call a great short opportunity. The fatter SM and Team get on their own bull, the closer we are to the crash.

Maybe the market is right and TD has a shot. After all, the market cap is only $5bil today and $65 bill for Snowflake. And according to the pre–announcement, TD's cloud business grew 200% this quarter, and SNOW is growing at less that half of that. Once the stock market sees, that Q1 was not an aberration, and somewhat sustainable, how long is stock going to remain at a 90% discount to a smaller (SNOW) and slower growing competitor? Well, May 6, is not that far away

Outsiders would be amazed at how many people on my team HATE their job but are so excited about the stock price flash. Stockholm Syndrome?!? These people are id--ts which actually makes my job loafing easy! They literally have no vision beyond tomorrow and admit that yeah it sucks and we're being abused but it's great to see a ray of hope that is only backed by smoke filled promises. Personally i can't complain because manipulating my team is so easy!
