The atmosphere at Teradata is such that I am less and less able to concentrate on my work and generally having a hard time finding motivation to work. I love my job, but that atmosphere drains all my energy and I’m just a lot less productive. What things take away the most energy from you in this company?

Transformation without a clear end in mind. Fear based culture. Tone deaf diversity messages. Misogyny and patronization in the executive leadership team. Revolving door of talent to make more room for old white guys. TERRIBLE data access and data quality, the worst I’ve ever seen. No processes or documentation. The boasting about the rising stock price when everything internally is falling apart. Oh, and DH.
What drains my energy? The uncertainty – in direction, in product capabilities and roadmap. The time spent by the ELT in marginal or inconsequential endeavors. The lackluster vision of our CEO. The fact that what the brightest of the technology we have is in the past not in the future as there's not enough spark left, even if some are still fighting...
