Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Is your skillset irrelevant?

Just curious for those who are looking to get out of TD – is the skillset you’ve acquired within the company considered relevant or obsolete? I want to get out, but I also want to be sure that my skills are kept current and desirable. I want to better my career (no offense to TD diehards) but I feel it’s time to move on and I’m not sure if my experience in tech will help me move onto another company.

I now know how to use a tray app called Caffeine to make it appear that I'm constantly busy and never idle on Teams!

It depends – get on the job sites and see what skills they're looking for.

I left Teradata a year ago and so far have not used any skills that Teradata required and found out our antiquated they really are after I left.
