I'm not asking about the people who were laid off but specifically about those who left on their own. If you know somebody who did, do you know if he or she regrets the decision to walk away? I'm considering leaving but I'm still too scared to commit to it. It'd be nice to know that others have done it and ended up doing well.

I left at the beginning of the year. ZERO REGRETS. 25% more pay, better benefits, and no more worrying about losing my job constantly. I was former arris and I don't think I ever stopped worrying about losing my job after commscope bought arris.
Arris was a good place to work. CommScope is not. Chuck is going to make tens of millions destroying the company
Change is scary, but it was worth it. Leave on your own terms if possible. The package cash would have been nice, but I rather have the peace of mind now.
I left after the aquisition and people keep contacting me on LinkedIn saying that they left or were cut loose.
Every quarter like clock work more people...
Most of the people who contacted me said they were cut loose. But some could not take it anymore and left.
I can't blame them for leaving. I did the same.
And I'm so glad I did and I'm actually making a little more than I did at Commscope.
So I feel really great about my decision.
In the last few years a lot of people in my group left already and some were let go.
Java Dr. Sunnyvale is a ghost town.
I quit a month ago, and I am so glad I did. No more feeling like an axe is hanging over my head. Plus, I’m making more money. There are other (better) companies out there.
I quit 6 months ago and am glad I did. Be brave and start looking for a new job. There are many places that are better to work than CommScope.
2 people from my team did and they are happy they did so. They say they enjoy the good night sleep as no nightmare of redundancies after every quarter, which is a routine in CommScope.
