Going with a derivative 737 max instead of a clean sheet new airplane and instead focusing on the 777X that there is no market for was such a colossal mistake I’m not sure the company will ever recover.
Yet the same people who approved those decisions are running the company now. David Calhoun was on the board when these monumental mistakes were made. How does any boardmember involved in those decisions still have a place in the company?
At this point I only hope to still have a job to complain about.
Don't worry. The Union has your back.
That's what happens when MBA's are in charge, instead of scientists and engineers. They burn the places to the ground, then they move on to the next target, pockets full. The ashes stay behind, forgotten.
Prepare for the worst (you know what it is). This virus is mutating and we only can chase the rabbit for so long. This one is fast and unpredictable.
No more 787, 777 or 747 production in Everett. That leaves us with a couple of 767 cargo/ tanker planes a month and a perhaps a token 777X that is currently not needed. The cash and resources needed to engineer a new plane went to stock buybacks years ago not that the necessary people are still employed here nor would Boeing choose Everett anyways.
Hoping to have BDS to get us through this before our plant turns into an Amazon distribution center. It is almost like the Seattle City Council guides Boeing. Literally full thrust right into the ground.
