The biggest reason I fear layoffs are medical benefits. Anxiety is astronomical. I have almost no concentration for work at all because I am constantly thinking about possibly losing my job here. I just hope to find another job soon because situation at Optum is getting really desperate.

Quality of life is number 1. Time is finite. If one enjoys being mentally and physically enslaved them let them "enjoy" that corporate American ride.
Would suggest seeing a mental health professional or therapist if things are bad. your health is #1. don't let that place cause you any mental derangements or anxiety disorders–please get help if need be.
Working in a toxic environment can certainly affect ones health. Have you considered taking an FMLA if your doctor recommends one for your anxiety level? Or perhaps you could use earned vacation time that you could use for a short respite. If you lose your job your employer should make you aware that COBRA health benefits are available which you would pay for out of pocket. Stay strong. Best wishes for your future. Not all companies are as bad as this one.
Maybe look for jobs elsewhere. life's too short to be this miserable and really, for what? Most have a barely sustenance life, paying endless bills, fees, debts, etc...and that no concentration at work? Good–why give your soul and time to a play that doesn't give a rip?
