Thread regarding BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. layoffs

What skills do we have?

I’m trying to get out of BJ's and retail in general but honestly, when trying to build up my resume I can’t seem to dress it up. I’ve consider hiring a resume builder but it’s a bit expensive. Do we really have skills that can be used outside of retail? This is a serious question. I would appreciate not having sarcastic replies and such.

I was a manager there. According to what you do in store. Front end, customer service, organization, ability to deal with pressure. On the floor: organization and prioritizing tasks. If stock person any warehouse procurement type job, working the floor etc.
Overall, calm under pressure, flexibility, customer service, organization, prioritization, willingness to work with the team to meet goals.
Hope this helps.

You have customer service experience. You can try for an office job where they deal with customers like one that offers insurance or makes appointments for a service.

Not sure what your job description is/was but merchandising can get you places. I threw it in mine. Been merchandising the produce department for 14 years.
