Anyone heard when thy might call us machinist back to work. Is shop still busy? Are many still retiring so thy can call back? Are layoffs finally over.l?

We have alot of guys retiring, so get ready for the callbacks. We are so busy n overloaded with overtime. Time to buy the new boat! Just in time.

No. Bringing machinists back would indicate they actually want to maintain/repair locomotives. That adds to dwell time. The prevailing attitude is that every loco should have an RX for "Company Maintenance Past Due".
They need less machinist know only doing 9414s oil samples and get the that piece of shiiiiit back on the train!
Find another job dude.
Yeah strike a deal to get more people layed off. That's all the unions are good for.
