Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Is CPE immune from layoffs until the spinoff?

Seeing as how they are being spun off anyway, will Commscope bother downsizing them further or concentrate the RIF on other parts of the business? I would think they will let Joe Chow to start running it as an independent company right away and start making the decisions to ensure their future success.

Given that upper management has been blaming them for the past Two years. I'd say snowballs chance. Commscope really had it out for Arris CPE.

And something was really OFF about blaming a company that YOU just bought.

Not sure what others think but having gone through it, I personally think Commscope management was very very very bitter about Arris.

And who knows why...

Don't even mention HR. Asked what training will be provided to employees, the response almost entirely focused on the opportunities for AI! Was that a Freudian slip confirming that the plan is to have bots replace humans?

No group/person is safe from layoffs. Expect layoffs to continue to meet "efficiency and cost control" and "portfolio optimization" continues as the c-suite grabs more stock options.

"Portfolio optimization" allows current portfolio pieces to be dumped, along with long-term employees, while the c-suite then purchases startups with younger/cheaper employees (many outside the US).

"candor, trust, authenticity" LOL! Not with this team, and especially the HR witch, in place.
