I left of my own accord approx. 6 months ago after 20+ years of tenure. I was of Brocade lineage. Arris management was bad enough about only true rewarding executives. At least the benefits under Arris were somewhat decent.
CommScope only rewarded executives, adopted the worst benefits from both companies, and started regular periodic layoffs as soon as the acquisition of Arris was completed. The fact that they forced everything under the CommScope brand and ki—d the Ruckus brand and identity was a very critical early warning sign they had no idea what they had acquired nor how to manage it. The exodus started almost immediately.
As a former employee, I obviously wasn't on the all hands call. Regardless, why would anyone be surprised that CommScope only continues to value the executives? Yes it is terrible for the employees. What's the saying, fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Do yourself a favor and start looking for a new job outside of CommScope.
It was very hard for me to overcome 20+ years of inertia. I am so glad that I did. While my data set is limited, I know of very few people who regret leaving CommScope. The only ones I know of, their new venture went under and they needed to find a fallback quickly. So I wouldn't even say they regretted leaving. My other favorite saying, the grass isn't green anywhere. It is just different shades of brown. That said, there are many shades of brown that are much better than CommScope to be had. All you need to do is look and be patient. Something good will come your way if you are persistent. Good luck!
