Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Customer satisfaction will improve?

Considering how similar Frontier is to other internet providers, it's difficult to understand why the company consistently ranks so low for customer satisfaction, but the numbers don't lie.
For two consecutive years, the American Customer Satisfaction Index ranked Frontier Communications at the bottom for customer satisfaction with a score of 55 out of 100. For reference, the average of all providers was a 64 and the next lowest provider in 2020 was Suddenlink with a 57. In 2018, Frontier finished in the next-to-last spot with a 54 compared to Mediacom's 53. The year prior, Frontier was last among all providers with a 56.

Spokesman's statement says that Frontier is optimistic that customer satisfaction will improve. Article: https://www.cnet.com/home/internet/frontier-internet-review/

It’s all the techs faults!! Instead of pumping out the 100 meg service somebody sold the customer 5 miles from the office, in high quality 26 gauge aircore cable installed in 1963, they sleep in their vans!!! Every single one of them, 8 hours a day! Then they wanna complain because they’re forced to work during a pandemic inside tiny apartments with 6-7 kids running around with sn-t on their chin while mom and dad are smoking 4 packs of cigarettes coughing up a lung trying to hand them 17 devices they just hacked all over to connect to WiFi. Like the techs are in any real danger there!?!! Try working from home having to answer the phone from time to time while catching up on Netflix… it’s impossible!!!!!! I can’t listen to you on the phone AND hear what Rick Grimes’s plan is to get everyone safely out of danger from the zombie apocalypse!!!
Have a little perspective please! Outside techs could possibly catch a cold, Rick has to lead the entire cast out of danger of DEATH!!

While us hard charging office workers are sitting in brutal 72 degree climate controlled offices, forced to listen to the terrible humming noise our mini fridge under our desks make, horrid lighting that hurts your eyes if you stare into it for a couple hours while daydreaming or doing your nails, the techs are out working on their tans!!

Don't know how this company is still in business with outdated technology. I guess people still ride the horse and buggy.

From the second we got sold I KNEW Verizon was gonna come in try to take all their customers back using 5G. I heard them talking about it, Verizon had some managers from NJ in our office days before the switch.

Verizon 5G home internet service will start taking away Frontier customers once its rolled out in the same states it sold to Frontier. Frontier has TOO MUCH oudated DSL service.

Our biggest issue with reliability is we use the worst junk router and ONT now. The Arris routers and the horrible horrible FOG and FOX ONT are so unreliable and buggy and yet that’s what we use for new customers. Not to mention the fact more and more PON’s are oversold due to them pushing 1Gig and not having the backend capacity to provide it. Oh and the fact our competition (spectrum) can be out same day for new installs and trouble tickets and we make them wait days or weeks. Oh and everytime there is an outage now it takes a minimum 2 days to get it fixed and we have no system in place to keep customers up to date on service outages. And yes there are certainly lazy techs in the field but there is also equally lazy management.

The techs and reps need to be given the tools and procedures to fix customer issues

Sleeping in you’re van and 3.0/864 not exactly going to resolve issues. “Same as it ever was”.

The company ranks low in customer service because the majority of the frontier footprint consists of inferior and outdated products . It doesn’t matter how great customer service if the product sucks customers will not be happy .

Have you read any of the blog post on here. It’s easy to see why it’s ranked so low. It wont improve until management is changed
