Karma!! as–––––s!
And yet those who were offered severance... did not receive it! They are claiming they did not receive any of the paperwork !
I would not be surprised if the restructuring, as well as, about 7 months of poor decision making that has run this company into the ground is an effort to make it more a takeover target than has been discussed over the past 2 years.
The SEC should look into trade activity and filings.
F the wntire board and all leadership.
Very well said, and I agree 100%. Those that worked last year at the height of the pandemic, we lost some TM's and several lost family because they probably got exposed while working and brought the virus home, I feel very bad for. Restructuring and cutting out jobs after record breaking sales is senseless, and it is truly heartbreaking what BJ's has become.
Amazing that as this was announced to the press and the ever slimy Chris Baldwin was praising the attributes of Mr. Delaney he couldn't find the time to announce what the company had just done to thousands of loyal longtime team members. Team members who stood tall during the pandemic and helped the company achieve record sales and profits. Team members who were cheated out of their jobs and tossed aside with insulting severances or nothing at all. This company cheated each of them out of thousands of dollars apiece that they are rightfully owed. What about their families? Many of these people had been team members for 15 years and up and had devoted some of their best years to BJ's only to be s–tupon. This management group knows they have something to hide and should be ashamed of what they have done but I get the feeling they are secretly very pleased with themselves and feel no remorse at the thousands of lives they have destroyed. Don't ask me to feel sorry for BJ's!!! The events of the last few weeks have exposed a heartless and greedy company who couldn't care less about their team members or members. My heart does go out to Mr. Delaney and his family, as I am not buying the "presumed natural causes" spin. I believe the stress this company brings, coupled with the guilt and karma BJ's has put out there will be proven to have been a factor and that is even sadder. I can't believe the media is not all over this company right now. All of this smells and you can probably add some insider trading to the list of bad behaviors. Their new business model is destined to fail and already is. Can't believe someone signed off on such a st—dplan. This company deserves every bad thing that comes their way. There, I just said what the rest of you were thinking and really wanted to say but unlike BJ's were too classy to say it!
What was the cause of death? 49 year old's just don't die for no reason.
