I just heard from a former coworker, who just got a massive 3 figure check. They wanted to know if they cash it, would that take them out of the class action suit should it be expanded from NJ to nationwide?

“Customer service? You mean sales reps? All customer service does is send what they used to do directly to the reps, cc’ing the customer and asking them to help. They can’t even answer simple questions. They pawn it off on the reps. Customer service... What is that? Most of them spend the majority of their time on social media or taking selfies. All I hear are the phones are dead. Then help. Ask the simple question instead of being like you’re going to need to contact your rep for that - like we don’t have enough on our plate. Useless.”
Whoever made that statement it to you that I’m responding . However my response is NOT any aggression on you nor is it a personal attack . You are free to express such opinion . My conscious can’t let that go without a proper response .

It’s not fair to make a statement like that. In companies there are employees that are sometimes great and not great . It’s the reality of life, OK? But to classify an entire class of people with the same stereotype is not fair .
Let me ask you this ?
- Have you ever sent the CSR an order without item #s and quantities ? Bet you have.
- Did you ever go out of your way to thank your CSR and ask them about their life and get to know them ? Hope so , but many times it didn’t happen.
- Were you consistent in thanking them ( auto signatures don’t count ) when they helped you?

- Have you ever sent orders at 5:50pm when you had them earlier making them do a ton of work right before 6?
- Has a CSR ever called / emailed you in letting you know that a customer was angry with you beforehand, so you understood the situation before being confronted by the customer. I can assure you you have been saved once or twice by them .
- Did a CSR receive your level of pay?
- Ever bring cupcakes or food for them randomly?
I was known as the most “high maintenance rep” in my branch. I don’t miss any detail and wanted excellence for the sake of my customer. Yeah CSR’s make mistakes but so do Sales Reps and employees . We are all humans . All of us.
I know I was annoying in asking if my orders were placed and other account issues , but to say what you are saying about CSR’s is simply not fair.
I can say that South Brunswick had and has an excellent CSR team and I miss them so much!

May be time to start looking for a new job!! This place is going to implode. No one is safe. Manager roles are diminishing, no value placed on sales people or customer service people. The building is on fire and people are slowly leaving the burning inferno.
Many of lawsuits, concerning commissions , in these states are current .
So Someone is saying that the representatives are getting some back commissions because of current lawsuits, not the NJ lawsuit.
Can anyone confirm if their are current lawsuits?

What about the customer service and support people! Give them money they truly deserve. This company will never reward hard working people. It’s always reward the people that don’t do s–t.
My job is to live the best life that I can , help people that I care about , be an involved parent, work hard , and live honestly . To be “furloughed “ is essentially a layoff . If some other employer didn’t want me , that’s their loss, not mine. I’m not for sale . One can take the catalogs from the salesperson , but you can’t take their natural sales ability away.

Answer - Don’t be confused . There’s never been a dispute from me regarding whether a company has the right to change it’s compensation structure. If that were to happen at least l’d know in advance , and not retroactively , and then I’d have the free will to decide what I want to do and whether the new compensation is acceptable to me. True salespeople can sell anywhere.

- I’m going to mark your words, as suggested . This isn’t about Leo losing and Reps winning . These lawsuits are reflections questionable business practices , wages, insurance , legalities , etc. These are real issues that have real consequences and they need to be addressed. This isn’t a game.
In my opinion , the only solution to “ end the onslaught of lawsuits against the company “ is for the company to take a hard look at how they treat their hard working employees and the consumer and to make changes in line with ethics and laws of this country. Otherwise , I would suspect (opinion) that other entities and states will continue to make legal complaints .
To be clear , I have no ill will towards WB Mason nor am I wishing anything bad on them or any of its employees . I simply want the concerns of both the reps and consumers to be heard and for there to be justice and have our fair wages.
