Managers always acting tough on here but on the job they are a bunch of scared pu––––s
Of course it does. No crews means trains are t getting out. They panic over a lot less.
Why do you think the managers would panic at the threat of a strike? It doesn’t affect their jobs. Just st—dthinking.
The managers on here panicking trying to act cool
Why would the managers care? This is idiotic.
@2awp Managers don’t give AF. Speaking from experience.
The strike will be around July 4th weekend. Let freedom ring! UP won’t know what hit them. Managers crying.
What’s the legal right to strike? I am not against this but would like to know the details. Actually conducting a strike is very hard under the law. Even if we have a legal reason, the government will put us back to work immediately pending arbitration. In the end, I am afraid all if this noise is really much about nothing.
Absolutely! Where are all the other union’s? Do you guys even know what it takes? I see people losing jobs! Better get your heads out of your aasses!
@1sij+1ahedURo, this is a super troll post, its on the same level as the hotdog guy.
Where are all the other union’s? IBEW, IAMAW, NCFO system wide, you need solidarity to strike! And it seems to me you north platters are going at it all alone! You will find it very difficult to survive without solidarity! You will be on a island all alone and I pitty the fool who stands out alone! good luck....
No we don’t need luck. We have a legal right to strike. Sorry you haven’t heard about it from your end in Omaha.
North platte must be the only ship of fooools striking, I’m not hearing the same on my end. Beware what you wish for OP! Good luck , you’re going to need it!
Look at all these managers
You are fighting a battle you can never win. EVER!
If you go up to a vicious ferrel animal (Union Pacific) every single work day and put your hand out, you're going to get bit sometimes, maybe a lot.
So, either know that and know it's part of the deal or take care of yourself and start window shopping new jobs. I know that striking and fighting with them won't work. Wanna try, go ahead. But that energy really should be directed at taking care of yourself, not even attempting to domesticate the vicious ferrel animal...
and then UP will close half the yard, layoff 1000 people in North Platte and everyone will be scratching their heads and asking why....
Ok, when’s the big strike? Or is this just another in a long line of useless postings on this site?
You should’ve gone to the meeting then you wouldn’t have to keep asking the same questions.
Are they bowling at the meeting? Is that what the whole strike thing is about? I’m lost, anyone know what going on?
How’s the strike coming? Lol
Managers are very scared of a strike as they are about just about everything.
You guys have a very screwed way of thinking. Why on earth would managers be scared of a strike? You’ll be ordered back to work immediately and if you refuse you’ll be fired. If that’s acceptable to you, you would have already quit. But here you are. All the while, the managers still show up to work, get full pay and benefits and you won’t. You folks need to wake up.
I doubt there are any managers trying to stop it. You don’t get it, the managers don’t like how the company is operating any more than you do. The execs are the ones implementing the changes to the workforce, not the managers. The managers are as powerless as you are to change the execs way of thinking. They are only still here because they don’t have any better offers yet, the same as you. I really don’t believe there will be a strike, but I hope there is. It would at least bring media attention to the way the railroads are operating, and not just UP on that front.
It was a good meeting. Making it happen despite all the scared managers trying to stop it
Yea right. I have some ocean front property in Arizona you can buy cheap also.
