It's time to demand Gennette be removed. He is decimating this company. At a time when great service, clean/upscale stores and merchandise, would be a brick and mortar differentiator and competitive advantage, we are moving towards a Kohl's/JCPenney model. Unbelievable!

Off with his head. Time for people to speak up and rally share holders to oust the criminal known as Jeff. He’s a greedy self centered egotistical jerk who can’t see past his own faults and big ego. In Argentina if the boss of the company is Horowitz legal for the employees to rally and remove the boss and create a union to make the company better. There is your lead. Take it
Never could understand what the thrill was about him from day one. Instills fear, humorless, funereal, no talent, no appreciation, unable to inspire both his employees and his customers. Everybody HATES working for him. Why was he ever given this job and why is he still here? I have worked for some amazing senior management at Macy's that always inspired us to do our best. He is the single worst manager and merchant I have EVER worked for in over 23 years of retailing.
Agreed. Gennette robbed the company of excellent talent and cleared out so many that helped get him to his perch as CEO. He showed no loyalties and decided the best direction for this once proud corporation would come from outsiders. Look what that got us all! He has been in over his head from day one and has guided the organization to the depths of today’s retail world. Well done Mr. Gennette, so very well done.
He’s just robbing the company of its last cash. He is the worst ceo of all time. I wouldn’t even hire him to run a ice cream shop. He has no direction, lacks leadership, spineless little weasel who needs to see the door. Find a young talented kid to do his job like he’s doing to everyone that worked for Macy’s for a long time. Replaced by a kid
Well, he just made $11M last year in total comp (WWD article today) +7% from last year. So clearly the board still supports him.
