Thread regarding United States Postal Service (USPS) layoffs

Working at USPS

Hello I was offered a job with the USPS as a CCA, city carrier. What's its like to work for them? HR seemed really nice but they said I would be working 6 days a week 10 hour days for the foreseeable future. While not ideal I have no problem with that. I did tell the HR that I will probably have to miss one day a month to engage my x in a custody battle, starting off ill have no vacation et,. I guess I saying I don't want to get fired....

Agreed. Woke. Run , run fast, go ANYWHERE but USPS. You know the phrase, "going Postal", that arose for a reason. Those working at USPS are literally the dregs of society, true...they have jobs, true.... this is a recession....true...not many jobs anywhere else, True...again, lots of jobs at the USPS....So, do you see the problem? Why to THEY have jobs? Answer: NOBODY WITH A BRAIN WANTS TO WORK THERE! Those that use the USPS as a "stepping stone" find that in the real world (Read...USPS is not the real world) that your entire career will be tarnished when they see you were once a "postal worker". Run, and find a better job, maybe draining colon-rectal cysts, or squeezing the pu-s out of near amputated feet of those that have diabetes, something nice:-) Merry Christmas.
