Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Did'nt Commscope try to sell off Arris...

And it didn't work out?

Now they have to resort to more layoffs?

Why did they even buy this company?

Commscope didn’t need Arris or Ruckus. They were trying to add something to compliment an already existing indoor wireless BU or small cell BU. Problem was when Arris beat them to Ruckus, they should have let it go and move on. Commscope has not grown anything outside the cable line. They acquire the mkt share and hope it fills the gap. That is the beginning of their downfall. The second is not knowing enough to bring in the right people to manage it and thinking they can do internally. The group of exec has to be most idiotic I’ve seen leading a company of this size. They are all to blame for these blunders and should be sent packing. The separation would cost way less then the next screw up. They are a real piece of work and it time to decide what you want to be when you grow up. Stop selling what you can’t deliver.

Arris bought Ruckus because they needed a line of business to prop up their dying lines of business. CommScope bought Arris to get Ruckus so that they had a line of business to prop up their dying lines of business. Then CommScope did everything you'd expect from a manufacturer who had no idea how to run a tech company. Basically they all thought Ruckus was a lifeboat but they turned in into the door at the end of Titanic and all the Jacks got left in the water.
