Suffice it to say that I was shocked to learn that a colleague who was looking for a job was recently given an option but decided to stay here anyway. I cannot give any explanation other than a typical case of Stockholm syndrome. As people have absolutely lost confidence in management, they think that it is not much better in other places either. I would've left without thinking if only I was able to find a solid option.

Uh no. I left some time ago. I never decided to stay because myself like many others got tired of the dogsh1t PSR plan.
For the OP that makes life changes without thinking... 1) Who are you to decide what’s best for someone else? 2) If you think you’re so smart, why do you not have any options? 3) you’re full of balogna.
You would have left without thinking but instead you stay and don’t think.
The job you have is always better than the job you dont. People get scared of the unknown. What happens if they dont like it or doesnt work with his family. But hey, open job for you to apply for.
