Now that reviews have been occurring , will you be able to advise what rating you got (up to 5) AND then what percent of a raise you got, if any. This might relate more to central than stores (nor sure if they have same 1-5 scorecard). Curious.
Also did you get a bonus and what FOB/function do you work in?
I got no review at alll, but a .40 raise.
My store was the best in our division beat our plan and I got a exceeds expectations 4.2 on my review as an OVM and barely got raise. My people barely got a raise, my store manager wouldn’t let me give higher raises than .70 to my high performers. I’ll be looking for a new job soon, I got better raises when I was a VM. It doesn’t matter how well your store does Macy’s doesn’t want to pay you for your hard work. I’ve been with the company for 7 years and I think I’ve finally had enough....
I didn’t understand any of the rating system BS! I just nodded.
In the end, I got 30¢!
What were others experiences...
Hourly reviews are still on a 100 point scoring table. Most of the score is predetermined based on store results. Individual behaviors are rated for the rest.
Executive reviews are on the 1-5 rating scale, also mostly based on store results. I've had my review and know my increase amount. I get PTG, not a yearly bonus. I'm a CSX.
It seems like the review scorecards are predetermined according to how your store did. They see it more like a team scorecard vs individual. I use to work in receiving and thought I did very well but on my review included how well the store did in sales, opening accounts and magic. I understand where they coming from but I have zero control over opening accounts and very rarely deal with customers.
So when my people leader was rating me on several key things, on some of them, I was told that because store didn't do well, I could not get above meets expectations or higher. I think it's unfair because I'm being graded on something out of my control.
