My X manager would say to me remember when you were young? Hell yes! I respected older experienced people. If I ever made fun of people’s disabilities I’d be told I was wrong. I worked under a situation where they disrespected older people and people with disabilities!

Nothing wrong with older women it's just some looked like they were trying way too hard and from comments on here maybe it wasn't their choice and they were doing what their leaders wanted... I feel even more sorry for them now and doubly glad to be away from there.
Pervert
They can be charming. I love seeing them in their natural element and am glad and grateful that Nordstrom employs them.
A little bit creepy Bleak...'hotties on the floor in leggings or yoga wear'.....
I’m away five years now from Nordstrom, and I can see now that they did me a huge favor in laying me off (from an incredibly dysfunctional team, possibly legendary, I don’t know). I’m in a much better place today.
I don’t shop at Nordstrom. I might get lunch there, and maybe visit Women’s Active to see if there are any hotties on the floor in leggings or yoga wear. The company still manages to get this right, thank goodness.
By the way 'Bleak' no pain here. Just sharing an observation about the cretins you had to tolerate in management at Nordstrom. I am not implying that you are one of these troglodytes.
These discriminatory incidents were not rare. If you were older and anglo saxon you were not part of the inclusiveness. I am sure other ethnicities have had their own struggles. This is what happens when you promote and hire mindless and narcissistic management.
And I think my X manager is stalking me on here. He should be scared. I’m much smarter than him. Come from a family of Philly cops and lawyers!
Well I think your comment is age discrimination. I’m simply telling the truth about mean coworkers. But everyone has a right to state an opinion.
The older women who dressed like they were 20 something looked ridiculous imo.
I would love to get my X manager under cross examination!
That was most of the store. You must be sitting in a bubble! Get real!
Very rare at Nordstrom, maybe one or two such discriminatory cases, we are diverse and inclusive
Age discrimination and comments on clothing seemed fairly common in Nordstrom
Thank you all for sharing your pain with us survivors, that we may heal together. We are truly blessed. Kek.
Exactly!!!
I agree 100 percent. I had a manager who literally told me that I needed to ' dress younger, and look younger'. I believe that is called age discrimination.
