Chemical engineer with 8-years experience making $180k at Dow is kind of difficult to believe, unless the person has shown extraordinary capabilities - even the top-notch oil companies don’t pay that unless it is in California (or such expensive places to live). Chemical companies don’t pay any more than oil companies.
