Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Death of Macys

Remember when macys had my client? they pushed it and it never worked.., know why? cause employees are being worked to sheer utter death and the last thing they think of is adding another thing on to their endless pile... Do you see the problems here? My client was a complete failure\it was a decent idea but didn't work and lead to no commission . which lead to people not caring which leads to over all failure. Now they are trying to stiff back of house people , and cutting hours.. so my guess the next step is laying off older managers that been there way way too long all to save a buck. increase profit by working the left over heard to death. . M only made 160 mill which means no bonus to CEO and the criminal cartel or investors.. Macys doesn't care about you only the Investors and social issues that have no relevance on the company. The ceo just got on his soap box and said stimulus helped their biz and its all looking better.. Guess what? that's not going last.. which brings my to final point.. The crash has haven't yet.... stay tuned !

I hated using it. You should see some of the replies we would get in beauty when we’d text clients about sales and promotions. We got blocked, cussed out, ignored. One lady got a death threat when she told the person about a 15% off sale. Another girl fresh out of high school had some old man send pics of him in his underwear. And it would capture their cc info without the customer’s knowledge. Might as well have been asking the customers about their car warranty. HATED IT.

Perhaps your manager is not teaching the tool effectively?
I know that the clientele system in my store has been imperative to business and sales metrics in jewelry and beauty. The program works if you have colleagues invested in the system and are making genuine connections with customers. It’s all about the follow up and working your book. It is a tool that works best in signature/commission businesses.

My Client would have been a nice tool for certain shoppers and certain departments staffed by the same full time associates. It was not a one size fits all program, but that was how it was rolled out. Flex and part-time associates that worked all over the store could not build a clientele in each and every department. That was what was so ridiculous about it. Then it became about making numbers and percentages look good and raises being linked to how many 'my clients' were in your system......so, everyone figured out how to game the system to get managers off their backs. As long as your my client adds were up, it didn't really matter if they were truly loyal shoppers. It just became another d-mb program that took a little longer to check people out at the register, and a tracking tool for Macy's.

Go skulk somewhere else ? Bahahaha. Go drink you’re kool aid bro. Nothing Macy’s does works or stays long term. It’s constantly flip flopping like a dying fish. Enjoy your kool aid !

Sales Associates try to get sales from My Client. If a client/customer responds to it and buys something then it worked. If not, it’s okay and my manager is okay with it too. We try and move on.

Your comment is preposterous and you are obviously not connected to Macy's in any way. Go skulk somewhere else
