Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

How much have you developed your skillset here?

Of course, this is an individual thing, but the company you worked for also has a lot to do with it.
After I managed to get a job at a company in this sector, I was surprised how people went much further in terms of technical knowledge and skillset. I felt very bad and ashamed when I first came to the new company and in a very short time I had to improve my skills. While working at CHK I thought my skillset was quite solid.

What kind of production work is actually needing to be done? Aren’t they all flowing gas wells? Shouldn’t they have completions figured out by now?

What are your thoughts about completions and App production leadership? I've only seen it from a distance, but it seems fine?

CHK had very technical people at one time; however, we have switched to a cultural where "brand building" is the name of the game. The me cultural is driven from the top down, watch the leadership in completions and App production.

Meanwhile, people like JKief-Ner became manager, thanks to his own “ technical knowledge and skillset “
