L-ARRIS: Stock options are provided to all technical (engineering) employees above Staff level. Those in non-engineering groups receive stock options if they are a Sr Mgr or above.

Why would they bother with stock options when they have the worst health insurance I've had since the day care I worked at for a year right out of college? They are not a tech company and have no idea how to run one.

Looks like hr is answering some posts here.

When hr means selectively, they forgot to say secretly too… till your team mates discover some are getting options and some are not.
Like everything else at commscope, a mess !!

Btw, hr is useless there, they dont even know their own policies and will alienate you to the level you have to point out they are not following their own written policies!

Many companies still offer stock in the retirement plan so your excuse is just that, an excuse. Everyone knows the risk associated with the market and has the option to sell the stock in there plan if they don’t want to hold. Your a fking joke and CS will not exist within 3-5 years. Someone else’s name will be in front of the building.

Is that why they had a mass exodus?

CommScope gives out stock to most employees at the manager and above level. But they also provide it selectively to others in critical positions below that level. Most public companies only provide it to Directors and above. There are limitations regarding how much stock you can use for incentive compensation - their shareholders vote how much they can use every year. About 10 years ago, most companies eliminated the company stock feature in their 401k plans after employees sued their companies when the stock price dropped. So it's not common anymore. Thems the facts....

When I was there only grade 12 and above only received options. They use to offer stock in the 401k but they cut that out after going public again. One would one have thought they would have offered shares on the IPO to employees but the greasy bastards are to stupid to see the value in employee ownership or at least skin in the game. Mgmt kept that to themselves and made millions. They are always late to the game and seem to be here to in seeing the value of rewarding and providing good benefits to keep employees. I will toast the day the arrogant a$$ holes crash and burn for screwing up multiple good companies.

No stock options?

Whaaa? Well, that might explain a few things...

Is that why when Commscope bought a silicon valley company called Ruckus many Engineers started leaving?
