Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Only 28 days left until CS is out sourced.

All, I found a new gig outside TDC. It took over a month. Anyone else out there having luck?

The remaining CS folks are due to be gone by July 31st when IBM take over...good luck with that!

I worked my way up from there to where I am now. If I can do it then they should too. I'm glad to see us get rid of them so i no longer have to write reviews and make up excuses as to why the yearly bonus was so meager. For comparison, my bonus is easily and consistently over 20k whereas theirs was often barely over 1k.

Looks like most of the company will soon be transient.

Talked with a friend on the TJ team last week. They're gearing up to grow fast and it is obvious what for. My role is next on the chopping block as soon as the SSEs are gone. I don't imagine it happening immediately but it only took the exit of the SSEs about 8months. My guess is that a year at the most would be how long my position has

I'm pretty sure the cat (spelled with the letter K) is out of the bag with this as everyone knows who took early retirement and did this as a parting item. The company pushed her into retirement and she agreed to stick on for another 9 months to do their dirty work for them. She was either hard up for money or just accepted the kn--e in her back to push her out. Her husband (still here) is actually a really nice & helpful guy.

I assume it was a K-H or K-M. A very sneaky and untrustworthy person.

Congrats OP, hope you are treated well. How TD treated the SSEs was criminal. The departing EX-west Area Director who helped orchestrate it all...I wish her a miserable retirement. Lying hypocrite!

Hopefully not another 65k yr position. You guys were grossly underpaid. Congrats for moving on. The ones i know deserve industry standard wages and work life balance that Teradata never could provide.
