Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Reorg on the horizon

I keep in touch with my manager outside of work from time to time. We generally don't discuss work-related items, but this time he/she felt the need to communicate something to me out of courtesy. There is a big reorg on the horizon. It was also mentioned that the company is missing the mark as far as earnings and new hires go. There are apparently discussions happening way up high as to how best to address the situation; from experience, I'm guessing HR will pull the same old "let's shuffle a bunch of people around to mask the mass-layoffs that are about to occur and nobody will notice".

Always apply skepticism here - especially to HR's damage control replies that will inevitably roll in after this is posted.

I cannot imagine having a corporate job and one of your duties as assigned is to go around on the socials and proclaim #fakenews. I dont know how they cannot throw up a little when they know there are times they are towing the company line and not the truth. I guess a person has to eat, but we all do.

Yeah, 10% down overall on the company stock… that really makes me excited about the 5% ESP discount. So it only costs me 5% of my money to contribute to a company that stripped my benefits. That’s neat.

FISV doesn’t lay people off. Positions are eliminated. That makes everyone feel better

Leadership needs to figure out what they are doing, because the current management group just wrecked the ship and stole all the employees benefits while doing it.

Wake up FISERV dummies, financial data doesn’t lie. Opening stock price for the Q1 call (on 4/27) was $124 85. Today (15 business days later) your price is $112.82. You are DOWN $12.03 a share. Inching closer to the DOWN 10% overall

Is there some sort of industry award you can buy to cover up the sloppy, high school educated leadership to help cloud these horrible numbers ?

Last posters are BOTH right, Fiserv is winning in the merchant segment but Fiserv is losing in just about every other segment. And there are reorgs in the works, I don't know if that will mean layoffs, but the leadership is cooking up some changes.

I think this confirms your statement. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/fiserv-inc-stock-falls-monday-underperforms-market-01621284871-9775544d3d89

The stock performance used to be much better and outperform the market by 14% on average.

Stock down to $112. If it stays below $110, FB is out...

Analyst on last earnings call commented that we are stealing share from our competitors in our merchant business, so more fake news from doomsday idio- above.

I like how the person who commented last speaks for the whole corporation. Whatever. No one trusts you. We all are skeptical of you. Look at the stock for goodness sake.

Huge, huge changes by end of Q2. The competition is winning in key areas that FISERV is dying. Want proof ....go look at their stock prices over the last 3-6 months. Your minor league leadership doesn’t understand how to compete or win.

No reorg on the horizon. We have a very good senior leadership team and like our hand. Sorry more fake news by OP.
