I was laid off back in 2020. NEVER thought it would happen to me. thankful to prayers, was hired at same level soonafter, and recently got a promotion to higher pay.

What I wish I told myself 2-3 years ago. GA ain't the only playa in-town, and you owe NOTHING to GA.
This whole, never-lay-off, or pension-this, or whatever is all marketing BS.

Think about it! Netflix destroyed BLockbuster. Amazon ruined malls. SpaceX beat Boeing. Every aerospace firm has plans or already has taken contracts from GA.

Yeah, GA was great when it was good, but times change. Yeah, change is tough. All I'm saying is this, I'd keep that resume and job searches pretty warm and handy if I were you.

Ouch the truth hurt sometimes…. You don’t have to be so blunt…. Just be happy ex-employees got a new job and let them vent a little bit.

You are bragging bc a defense contractor hired another defense contractor worker…. Try to get a job at google, apple, space x and then you can brag…. Obviously you don’t understand what a top engineer is….. and the former employee could have worked on the business side or engineering side…. But your post is funny …. To state that defense contractor hire the best engineers LOL!!!

LOL - luv this reverse psychology by the HR spy posters here. 'We want to leave, but our skills are too out of date, so GA just keeps us". What a load of BS! GA engineers are AWESOME. It's the TOXIC MANAGEMENT that keeps putting them down!!

Want Proof? myself and a few other engineers (mid-40s) left for the WAY BETTER Defense Start-ups like KRATOS and ANDURIL. They will train you on any 'dated' skills, so long as your technicals are solid! Want further Proof? We beat GA out of the last 3 defense contracts....like beat GA bad...

If you were able to get another job consider yourself lucky. You didn’t stay long enough to get a bad work ethic and still had serviceable skills…. For older workers it’s all we have… I don’t have a skill set that transfers well to other employers…. Some won’t hire me just bc I have GA on my resume and other GA employees have failed miserably already at their company. GA allows me to work at my own pace and doesn’t get mad with me no matter how much extra time I need… GA is willing to work with me and allow me to contribute at my own pace. I thank god for GA bc I don’t know if any other employers would be so kind
