I am hearing the CDC will put guidance out today that says those vaccinated don't need to wear masks inside anymore. I am 100% behind that and I hope Oxy follows and we can take these things off. Many places I go these days people are not wearing mask. I have been vaccinated and if those not want to transfer Covid between them fine, and if I get it from them hopefully the vaccine will help me. The mask were made way too political and many experts say they are useless if not the proper mask. It will be nice to see my co-workers faces again in person. I would never push the vaccine on anyone, but one of the reasons I got it was to stop wearing masks. I was in CVS today and the masks needed signs were off the doors and people that worked their had them hanging under their chins. If workers at pharmacies don't see a need to wear them that should tell us a lot.

Under that logic, everyone should wear masks then since vaccinated people can also get and transmit the virus. Many of us have already had C19 and have antibodies but for some reason that’s not considered. The reality is, the cloth masks are not fitted N95 masks and are not effective (you realize your eyes are not covered and the virus is airborne). They aren’t even mandating what type of mask is required. It’s a false sense of security.
This experimental agent is not FDA approved, nor have there been any peer reviewed clinical studies proving its safety and efficacy and of course the pharmaceutical companies have no liability for any reactions or deaths. So if corporations want to force this and welcome lawsuits for these reactions (and possibly fertility issues), that’s their choice. Many of us have already met with counsel regarding this and are working together to fight these mandates. And we’re not alone:

I’ll gladly work from home permanently if offered, that would solve both sides of the issue. I won’t be bullied into possibly damaging my future fertility by taking an experimental agent that has not proven to be safe.
The unvaccinated need to wear a mask to prevent spread amongst the unvaccinated. If you are young and healthy you may be able to fight covid with no problem but the older, obese, and diabetic people can die from covid even with the best treatments. If you are not vaccinated and are running around indoors with lots of people you are being selfish. In the corporate world the occupational health professionals have an important role for education and enforcement. They need to say if you cannot produce your vaccination record then you are not allowed to work on site. If you don’t have a valid reason for not getting the vaccination then you are terminated. He-l, they terminate people for smoking one jo--t 60 days prior to the dr-g test so they should take this just as seriously. This is called zero tolerance.
These experimental covid vaccines, masks and successful covid treatment therapies have been heavily politicized. For the first time in history doctors were told not to treat the covid patients! And many were threatened for prescribing and or talking about HCQ, azithromycin and zinc being successful treatment outcomes for their patients. Including one from Houston! Many lives could have been saved and the covid curve flattened by giving mass population doses of HCQ, zinc and Ivermectin. Like they are doing now in India. The Back news channels are discussing this success while the MSM media is blathering on and on about all the India covid deaths! Me? I had Covid, took the covid pak treatment that was so widely bashed in the media and was fine within a day and half. I will continue to mask up for a while longer and follow posted guidelines for mine and others safety.
Vaccination is not HIPA protected. It does not fall within that category.
That is a very logical idea to dr-g test everyone before coming back to the office. They should do the 90 day hair test to pick up the real problem abusers. You know there are a lot of thc abusers out there, especially in states where it is legal. Texas probably not so many because you cannot get it legally and they are living in the prohibition era.
Imagine if everyone has to take a dr-g test before coming back to the office. I imagine there has been a few that got a little lax with the policy while working from home. Don’t be surprised if you are called on by someone with a little cup.
Requiring an EXPERIMENTAL Covid vaccine for safe operations has no sound basis. Because you can still get Covid and spread it. A Covid TEST is the way to go. Does OXY want to be responsible for paying employee’s medical costs if complications from the shot, workman’s comp and or disability costs should employee become disabled from the Covid shot? Lawyers are gearing up for Class Action Lawsuits! To date over 4,000 people have become disabled from this so called genetically modified “ vaccine”. This number of people injured far exceeds those of any other vaccine over a 20 year period. It is under EA even though proven cures for Covid exist and are available through certain providers. You are better off getting Covid and develop Covid antibodies rendering you immune just like to certain strains of the Flu! Some of the people you are calling anti vaxxers is hateful. MIT scientists have been studying the anti vaccine issue. They found many of these people have had lots of other vaccines and are making their decisions based on intelligence and sound science!

And the CDC has been completely politicized. Biden has too many crises he cannot handle and he created all of them. So the latest distraction is to drop this mask thing..........

To the last poster. Some people are NOT anti vaxers just because they choose not to take the experimental Covid shot at this time. OXY CANNOT Mandate this shot and neither can you. It is experimental and under FDA EA. It is NOT fully FDA approved. Experimental vaccines cannot be mandated. If you do your research you will see technically this isn't even a real vaccine, but is being marketed as such. The purpose of this shot is to reduce the severity of covid symptoms if you are unlucky enough to get it. The FDA may not be able to approve since there are KNOWN cures for COVID. But these are largely being suppressed by the FDA and Big Pharma as they make $$$$$ off of vaccinations. Being a survivor myself with access to the Covid cures I came out ahead with antibodies made so no need for the Covid shot.
People not vaccinated should be fired if they don’t have a valid reason for not getting it. The company should bring the full force of the legal department to enforce the policy to shut you anti Vaxers down. If you challenge it with a fake medical exemption and lose you will wish you never tried.
To take the covid shot or not is personal health info and should not be released. I would not ask my co workers the vax question. Some folks are under advisement from their MD’s covid shots unnecessary if you already have covid antibodies. And some Senators who have have had covid are saying the same thing. Also some people who took the shots test positive for covid two weeks later and have to quarantine.
Given the mixed information regarding immunization status and effacy of the shots, too early to tell yet and studies will not be complete until 2023, I believe we all should wear our masks like in close quarters such as elevators. But the decision is best left to the individual and should not be interpreted as one’s political status, health status, etc. We should be wearing masks during Flu season anyways. That alone could lower health insurance costs for employers!
I am vaccinated but I still want to wear a mask. I haven't been sick at all since I've been wearing one and I feel great.. I hope it becomes the norm. People definitely should have a choice if they want to wear it or not at this time though. However, antivaxxers (all antivaxxers not just covid ones) are crazy. I get that some don't feel comfortable bc "lack of research about long term side effects" but the ones who are willfully refusing because of "tracking chips" need to just not reproduce or work anywhere close to me.
I suspect Oxy won't immediately follow CDC guidelines because not everyone will be fully vaccinated when we return to the office, so don't throw those masks away or you'll be the one taking a hike sans severance.
This is great news from the CDC. People can go back to work as usual with whatever hybrid model they want to use. No masks required. Those not vaccinated will eventually die a horrible death from COVID-19 so problem solved. I am not a mean person but I can’t stand these id--ts who are ruining society with their anti Vax behavior. The alternative is to require the vaccine. Those not vaccinated can take a hike and get out of the company. No severance pay either.
I call BS on wearing it. I got the vaccine and have been cleared by CDC guidelines. Those that don’t want the vaccine then fine wear a mask or not. I will take my chances and hope the vaccine covers me from them. No one should wear a mask anymore, and no one needs to know the status of anyone. If you are that scared of getting Covid then get the shot. If you have a medical reason then work from home.
Vaccination is confidential medical data. Wearing a mask or not wearing a mask would disclose that information. Prediction: masks wearing for a bit longer regardless of your status.

If unvaccinated people are supposed to keep wearing masks inside, I assume there will be a Mask Czar at the door of every establishment demanding to see our paperwork? Good luck with keeping track of people once they are inside the building.
