Smart will be assisting in the elimination of the Yard Master position as well with zebra and the willingness to do whatever they are told by the company without any fight.

It’s comical to read all the posts from big, bad employees talking about sellouts, scabs, and “company men” and acting like you do whatever you want. The truth is you do what your supervisor says or you get fired. We don’t have a choice in the tasks our unions agreed to perform. You and I both can do what we are told, or find another job and then do as we are told. All the macho blustering in the world won’t change that.

I remember a carman that would say tracks hadn’t been off air and were good to go and the air hoses weren’t even laced. Couldn’t get him away from his football game in the shanty

They’ve gotten rid of the Carmen at most locations already and honestly at most locations the conductors were previously already doing the work because the Carmen wouldn’t. So what’s changed?
They are also taking over traveling car inspections, and repairs.
Alot of locations now have locomotive mechanical doing carmen work as well. Time for carmen to jump ship to TTX.
They are already doing it at 18th St in Kansas City
I’m in zone 100 and we are going to start doing clerk duties. Train crews will soon be driving from train to tie up locations per SMART /UTU. I’m BLE and am amazed how UTU is is such a sell out union.
Where is the proof of this? When did it happen? What are the work details? Can someone verify? Is this just another in a long line of speculative or fake posts?
I will gladly cross any smart picket line.
