I'm already a little desperate because I've been looking for something better for months now. I think that in the end I will have to make a more drastic move - move to another location or make a career turn and try myself in a different role. The biggest mistake is that I didn't start looking for a job earlier, perhaps I would have a new job by now.

Less than a month since doing serious and active search. It really depends on the role and market. Also, companies are actively hiring now compared to late last year. That helps speed up the process.
