A coworker is claiming he heard several people were let go last week. Nothing major, which is why he says I probably didn't hear about it. I'm kind of hesitant to believe him. I know a few layoffs are not a lot but it is a few layoffs and I highly doubt it would just not be noticed by the rest of us. Did something really happen?

Bound to be more within the next year. Cannot maintain stock price otherwise.
Emerson is laying people off everywhere at the minute. It is heading for one SSC model across each world area. If you not in those countries (best cost) your career is now effectively screwed at Emerson. Ruthless mate.
