The company will never perform to its potential as long as they keep recycling the same failed middle/upper managers along with keeping the cantankerous ones on the front lines.

Can anyone explain what the supposed benefit of this would be? Even if it were true (it isn’t), he would most likely be replaced with another C1 RR executive with the same views, same background, and the same approach, only for slightly higher pay. In fact, it would probably be somebody already sitting in the C-Suite, all of whom most of you presumably dislike.
This post goes in the “not gonna happen” bucket along with the next labor strike.

I'd like to know the same as well. Where did you get your information from? Why would the UP B.O.D. hire another executive from a different class 1 to be the CEO? I also didn't see why he's supposedly being ousted. I'm sure most of us or all us desperately want to see him go anyways, but why is he being removed? Get rid of one terrible CEO, and hire another executive from another failing class 1 to replace him? It sure sounds like something the UP would do, but there it isn't a shred of common sense anywhere in that.
