Am I the only one who needs a full day to recover after one day of work at Macy's? With the as----e managers, as----e customers, and coworkers who are not even trying anymore, how is anybody supposed to make it through the day and not have a nervous breakdown? Sadly, this is a serious question, not a rhetorical one.

We are in the middle of the credit contest and my manager says she has to be on district calls where she has to explain why out store is only at 10% ratio even though we are well under the company expectation of 12.9% or less for the best rating possible. Our new district wants to be the best at everything on the backs of colleagues so we have to be below 8% and sales people are all nagged and harassed every hour. No one wants to work here and the customers are all tired of having credit pushed down their throats. Get out now, no one should feel like this at the end of every day just so some executive can pat himself on the back for being the best and having the brownest nose.
I can totally relate..this place is causing me so much stress and unhappiness and unfortunately I am stuck here until I can find something better. I don't know how to cope with the situation anymore. I am beyond micromanaged, I work my a-s off every single minute I am here, and I'm still criticized unrelentlessly. No matter what I do, it isn't enough. They have squeezed every drop they can get out of me and they still want more. I've never felt so unappreciated and so helpless at the same time. I am so close to just quitting. Even if that means I can't pay my bills. It's taken a toll on my physical and mental health, and I just don't think you can put a price tag on that, especially with how much they are paying me.
I agree. The customers are vile. They are taking out there aggression on the sales people. They are complaining and demanding about everything.... Its a toxic work place.
