Edward Lampert is the only reason Sears & Kmart still exist to this day. All other options in 2019 before Edward launched Transformco during the Sears Holdings Bankruptcy would have resulted in total liquidation of the company. Edward saved Sears & Kmart in that instance.
But saving a 100 year old person from a serious injury, doesnt mean the inevitable isnt right around the corner. Edward has done a lot for Kmart and Sears, when other circumstances would have caused the company to go away forever much sooner.
