Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Does Anyone on Here Actually Like Edward Lampert?

There appears to be a significant amount of animosity & hostility towards Edward Lampert from posters on this forum. I am trying to determine if there are individual(s) who have an admiration for Edward Lampert, such as myself.

I believe a significant amount of the disapproval of Mr. Lampert step from scenarios beyond the gentleman's control. The damage to Kmart & Sears had already been done many many years ago, we all know this.

Why do all of you continue to express your dissatisfaction for a man who simply picked up the sword after the battle was already lost? It wasn't his initial fight, but a fight he has continued to fight even though the battle was already lost.

I find his courage to fight for Sears and Kmart truly admirable. Yeah the ship may be sinking, but this Captain has done everything he could to steer it to shore.

Thank you Mr. Edward Lampert. For all that you have done, and all that you continue to do for Kmart, and Sears.

There's clearly software on this board that sees certain words and substitutes dashes for some letters. It seems like they could stick in some logic that if a post contains the words "Chicago Ridge", it should be suppressed from the thread.

As a SYWR customer in all honesty he was the G.O.A.T.

I have every tool Sears ever made, got free tires, Gladiator shelves and cabinets for pennies on the dollar. I can see why some don’t like him but if you worked his program, he was the greatest CEO in history.

It’s simple. He saw the chance to increase his own wealth as well as to maximize the benefits of his own private companies at the expense of Sears in general, including their employees.

Although 95th street is closed, you can still get to Chicago Ridge using 103rd street. Or take Metra's SW line.

I don't admire anyone who makes any money on their own at the expense of others. I'm sure this doesn't sit well with the current culture that believes that "it's all about me" and I will do whatever it takes to advance myself and my causes through whatever unethical means, damage to others, or amount of dishonesty it takes......sc--w everybody else. What kind of a country have we become?

I admire any person who become very wealthy on his/her own. Eddie is one of those. What I don't admire about Eddie is that he has no humility. I think he is corrupted and reckless by the wealth that he earned so quickly. If he were much an humble person and knew his own limitation he would not have lost half of his wealth and destroyed two American icon companies along the way.

Am I the only one who can see that whoever started this thread is just fishing for dialogue to entertain himself? "Edward????" "admirable" "gentleman" "Captain" these aren't words anyone would use for a legitimate inquisitive normal conversation.

Are you by chance Mrs. Lampert, or the Sears Holdings "pump & dump" stock queen? Steer the ship to shore, or make sure he got to strip it of all is valuables as he watched it crash into the shoreline? He only put money into it to keep it afloat as he stripped it of its real estate. There was never any investment put into the stores to make them the least bit appealing. The one I used to shop at looked like a rummage sale in progress for years before it closed.

Ironically, Eddie Lampert is the living embodiment of the incompetent value destroying parasitic villains of the Ayn Rand novels he had us read.
