How are things at BJ's now that so many of us are gone? I'm still mad about being laid off (and how it was done) but I'm starting to finally move on. I have a new job finally, so that helps. I'm just wondering how are things for people who stayed behind? We were overworked before, I can just imagine how hard it is for you now.

Why does the new home office need a gym? Aren't they there to work? Ridiculous! Spend that money you saved by getting rid of most of your good employees.
BJ's restructuring was unnecessary. Only companies in financial trouble should go through this. They bragged about how well they did last year during the midst of covid, then decide to sc--w the people that worked the clubs, it is just utterly inhumane to those who were affected.
Terrible management keeps trying to boost morale local managers in Jacksonville fl keep quitting, other team members are constantly putting in two week notices. They created new positions an didn't train a single one literally just threw employees into the fire. They talk about penetration into membership's like costco but don't value the employees as costco does so the employees do the bare minimum. The give bare minimum pay even though they can't hire employees because of the unemployment benefits that are close to 650 a week. But hey look on the brightside they have a new headquarters with dual cafeterias,gym, massage parlors for the desk jockeys an a private garage, but give employees a 20 cent raise after a year.
I'm here for about another week. It's not great. Employees are still angry at upper management. Lots of call outs. Low morale throughout the building. I'm in a produce department that does over 90k a week. It's currently me, the fresh manager who also has 2 other departments to run, a kid who works 1 day a week and a guy who is split between produce and meat. Impossible to keep up on the weekend. Picked up a couple bodies but the 1 I interacted with so far has 0 drive and works at a snails pace. So things have gotten worse since then.
