Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

Has the morale ever been worse?

I have been in this company for a long time and I think that the morale has never been worse. There have been very bad and difficult periods before, but it seems to me that people had more enthusiasm for work. Now I have absolutely no will to work and I only work the bare minimum. As far as I can see, the others don't try too hard either. Those at the top do nothing to improve the morale.

We are over managed and under led ! Sad but true the dream had died.

Lowest morale in my 10+ years. I was fine (happy even!) while working remote, but since the 2nd layoff and forced return to office, I no longer care about the success beyond whatever I can sell the stock for. I see no happiness in the new building and I am only here until I find a replacement position somewhere else. Happy to still have a paycheck, but no longer thinking about a future here.
