What is work life balance worth?
In base salary. Bonus is not for sure and is dependent on company performance. But you will get a 10 to 15 percent raise off of benefits alone if you have a family - just with cost savings! The recruiting will hit up so keep an eye out but obviously will slow once they meet their quota. But who knows Qualcomm quality of life may get better due to competition

Apple is already recruiting! I am a Sr Staff Engineer and Apple is offer a 30% pay raise w/ stock options and the biggest kicker is the benefit package! Qualcomm has been raping its employees with making us pay more and more for benefits each year! Apple still takes care of your benefit package (medical, dental, vision).... I put in my notice! If people want to come over please let me know as we get a referral bonus as well
Apple is sux. I doubt that their total compensation is better than Q.
