IBEW just screwed us all with only an 8 month guarantee in this sham contract before the company can lay us all off. Wake up!!! Stop only looking at your shiny new back pay.

Just leave already. But I’m sure you won’t because you can’t do any better than this new contract somewhere else, or not qualified enough to get a better job.
Then go apply. If you get the job and quit we might spring for a good bye cake.

I had a conversation with my coach this past weekend about this contract. He agreed that it is good for both parties. He asked me what I’m going to do with all this retro pay. I said I didn’t know but it almost feels like I won the lottery.
Read the contract and the MOA. The 8 month guarantee you mention is ONLY in reference the CTF acquisition letter from April 2016. You still have job security language in the contract, turn to page 33! The contract STILL has Article XI language regarding forced adjusts and bumping rights! It may not be a "NO LAYOFF" clause but it's better than nothing!

We should be thankful to our amazing union that they were able to negotiate eight months of job security instead of complaining about it. We are blessed to be employed by frontier.
