If your an incompetent type but can fill a corporate diversity need, by all means apply. You can be high ranking and not know a damn thing.
You need more people when the ones you have are not premier, such as HR and Supply Chain. The common denominator? An arrogant and unfit Senior executive. The lack of qualifications of the junior executives is obvious and a given.
