DRG auditors, which were acquired by Optum in the Optum purchase of Equian are worried. This department has not been touched yet. Optum also recently purchased Change Healthcare, which includes about 90 new auditors. Optum is hiring outside auditors for much less pay. Optum has also hired a large number of overseas auditors. The number of overseas auditors is a secret. The auditors from Equian were recently forced into sending in their resume's and filling out forms of all of their previous jobs.

Earlier this year I think I told DRG auditors on Optum side they had nothing to fear due to the large number of audits they planned to do this year. But when I heard about the Change Healthcare acquisition I have to say, the first thought in my head was that those folks from Equian better look out, there will be massive consolidations coming again. If they asked you to send in resumes that is a huge red flag.
90 auditors to do what exactly, extract more money from people, the corrupt govt?
It doesn't matter what they're "opposed to" --they all love and lust after money. That's capitalism. They make money off of the sick and infirm to maximize shareholder profit. That is us disgusting.
Less worries. American Antitrust Institute and the A.H.A. are opposed to merger with Change.

I work in an Optum Internal Audit department and my team has never lost a member to lay offs. One Director and 3 Managers and we are only required to get one audit report out a year. Everyone is happy with our work. Been in the department for 10 years. Make sure you add value and make people like you.
Look elsewhere, overseas means cheap foreign labor. It will likely displace American workers.
Yes, I would be worried too. Start looking for something else now as Change will displace workers.
