Thread regarding VMware layoffs

If you are not Indian, why are you at vmware?

Just wondering cause it simply does not make sense to me. With all the sentiments around favoritism and targeted layoffs? Why would citizens or non Indians stay at vmware and help the alienating culture?

Thank you for that explanation. Yes, the virtue signaling in the Valley is reaching a fever pitch.

SEBU is security and edge, it includes SD-WAN, SASE and Telco Cloud. They just combined two other BUs.

What does SEBU stand for? The reason I have to ask is that the acronyms change every week.

The head of SEBU said that every hire will be a diversity hire. When new hires are announced he welcomes their diversity. Somehow I don't think that he is talking about diversity of ideas or diversity of experience.

Milking the cow for the paycheck and letting the RSUs vest until finding a better opportunity. That is why.

Indian and stuck with slave visa. If this wasn’t the case I would have left this rotten company and its leadership long back.
