Even if there was no threat of possible dismissals, I would make every effort to get out of here because I just feel like I wasted time here.
Developing and growing talent wasn’t even an afterthought and that’s one of my biggest complaints to this company. I stagnated terribly here. It's somewhat my own fault too, but without a doubt Teradata is also largely to blame.

I've been with Teradata a long time and they definitely have the scare-tactic method down. What sucks is that I actually like my job, I just hate management and ELT. I think I suffer from Stockholm Syndrome.
I actually cried when I was an employee, because of being mistreated so much. Of course when I was not shaking from anxiety or not being able to function due to stress and fear. That's all gone now, so thanks fck face for your ELT- level comment. Your tears will come soon enough. 🥺
Do you like to cry all the time? You're not even an employee.
The cloud team burned through a bunch of talent trying to make the “cloud (but still on-prem)” stuff to work. Until they get a provisioning system that works consistently, features for cloud offerings are just pig lipstick.
The cloud teams make the same mistake over and over. I want new feature for my customer not another provisioning system. I can’t count the number of times it changed in five years. Lack of leadership is also a problem. Every team is a silo. ER doesn’t give a sh– either. I give TD two more years.
Every large enterprise company is leaving (Walmart), planning to leave (Apple), or has left (Ebay). Those who have moved to cloud are having massive problems (Pepsi).
New major accounts in past 2 years... zero.

Wow, the marketing weasels are working the weekend.
Enjoying my journey at Teradata and many large enterprises are customers so happy to be in the world of Analytics now with them!
"Teradata is a large data warehouse" in the aspect of old, antiquated, ancient & slow technology. If you want something that worked years ago but it's 20yrs behind the times with no plan to update except for marketing campaigns, Teradata has the antique for you!

Teradata doesn’t care about it’s employees not helping them to grow their skills. The training dept is c––p and if you want to learn anything, you are better off paying for a course from LinkedIn.
Antiquated tools, management that wanted to do things the way they had been done for years, no appetite to try 'something new or mildly different'. That's why I left 2 years ago. Looks like things haven't changed much.
