Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Every survival motivates you to stay a little more?

I’ve survived too many layoffs and various moves that I didn’t like at all and that’s the only reason I’m still not leaving here.
Although this is not even a shadow of the former company, every survival motivates me to stay a little longer. On the other hand, I am ready no matter what happens.

You need to familiarize your self with sunk cost fallacy. You shouldn't stay because of your past if you don't see a future. But financially if you really need the money then definitely milk it.

You squirrely guys with the red staplers always seem to survive somehow. HR is too lazy to fix the glitch.

Hang in there, I outlasted all the useless incompetent duds they promoted as managers thru five reorgs. I thought of changing companies but if i had i wouldn't have got the nice pension and big payout in the latest SVS offering.

It was satisfying to see my latest manager, their manager and the VP all get the boot in this last one.
