I'm not alone and know of many others (SPEEA types) who would jump at the opportunity. Have lost faith in company leadership and can no longer fight to try and save the company from itself. No focus, no leadership, no work-ethic, no technical excellence... I wish it were different and have done all I can to help the company remain successful but no longer feel my efforts make a difference.

How many people on here never worked at the company? And there just mad at the world? 50%? You can spot them like some safety bs. GO4ZERO! Stop lpsting your junk. Your drive thru is backing up!
Union is already broke
1 more VLO and the company could probably break the union.
Quarterly earnings April 28.... we should all know more by then
Amen - I know how you feel..
I heard 9-10k in July
They are offering one more in May/June. 2nd quarter will be movement and transfers. Layoff around 5-7k July.
Boeing’s been able to treat their employees badly because there’s not another large commercial aerospace company in the United States. St. Louis has a lot of attrition due to people being able to work for Grumman or Lockheed in the defense industry but Boeing doesn’t have another commercial aviation competitor other than airbus who has only a small facility in the United States.
That’s the reason Boeing rarely offers the VLO to St. Louis employees. But they are always offering it to Everett. They also have worse benefits due to no union. I fully expect Boeing to offer Velo until the Everett plant is much smaller. They essentially want the airplane only assembled in Everett with everything fabricated from suppliers except for the Wing box built in the composite center in Everett
The US Federal Aviation Administration has proposed requiring airlines to replace fuel system processors on Boeing 737 Max jets, citing problems with fuel shut-off systems. Boeing already addressed the concern in a 2020 service bulletin that described procedures for replacing a processor unit
What’s annoying is a manager trying to be busy by assigning absolutely stupid projects to their employees just so THEY can look good. Then, putting pressure on employees for not showing positive results for THEIR stupid project.
What’s annoying is watching managers trying to make themselves look busy and important to the company.
They are not offering VLO this time. Things started to pickup and they realize too many waiting to jump on VLO as many employees are tired of them doing everything but building airplanes
A VLO shouldn't factor into your retirement. If you're ready, you're ready. Half a year salary (if you're an old timer) isn't the big one to watch. If you have a pension and you're taking the lump sum or considering it, keep an eye on the segmentation rates and watch SPEEA's retirement seminars. The lump sum has never been higher, and is likely to drop in Nov when the new segmentation rates come into effect. If you're not watching out you could lose 10% or more if the economy picks up. For an old timer that might be well over $100k. Many older engineers will retire in October due to this. That may be why the company hasn't and won't offer a vlo.
Boeing is more interested in placating to critical race theory advocates and ridiculous SJW nonsense than it is in building airplanes.
Wasting precious resources and company time shoving this garbage down everyone’s throat every day. I don’t even want to sign in to my computer and look at home page anymore.
Too many lazy people and don’t do their job. No integrity .. too much slacking yet they get to stay due to seniority and good wokers got laid off.
I appreciate your time. Bye Felicia!
