I see them pulling power out of storage, yet our carloads are not going up. Are they finally realizing you can’t run the bare minimum with no maintenance forever

Those just pulled out can go DIC just as well as any others!
Precision Rail has bought quite a few of the stored locomotives . CP has bought a few as well.

This happens quite a bit. It depends on how many were pulled out at your location. They replace some in the fleet that are undergoing overhaul, etc. Just because you see units being moved doesn’t mean more are being added to the fleet.
When are they going to pull out the big boy and let the public see it?
