Using contract workers is going to ruin Frontier, bring them to their knees, and leave them with worthless assets. Ever look at a contract fiber splice? Holy c––p! They don't know how to read a print, most of their splices are rats nests, and they don't check anything to see if it is correct. Frontier has wasted a boatload of money on the contractors they've been using already – if they were to go with more of them, they might as well shoot themselves in the foot, and rub salty dirt on the stump that is left.

The new owner will merge us and windstream, break us into 3/4 different pieces and sell them at that point

Elon Musk just offered to buy Frontier to bail them out of this mess, but will only hire contact workers. The company is negotiating with SpaceX now.

Good, long overdue. Way to go union, make sure to give them an extra tip in your dues next payroll cycle.

So tired of FTR and all their BS! Fire us already and stop k–ling us slowly! You’re a bunch of bozos who know how to k–l a workforce and feel a few union losers are the great cause. Regular people deserve to prosper also. It’s doesn’t hurt you one but to allow regular folks to make a decent living if they work for it!

This is why you are at a huge advantage if you do nothing. Those who do a “good job” that is recognized and documented, are easily outsourced. But those of us who do nothing, therefore having no record of what we do, will remain on the full time employment roll because management does not know how to document and train a contract employee how to do nothing. Before you write this off as a joke, give it some serious consideration. It worked for me for over four decades. Retired with a huge pension and 401, and was never laid off.

Does this mean we aren’t getting a new contract?
