The Union should file a lawsuit on the company for hours signed off and not paid for an example you work 8 hours you sign off 15 hours you should be paid the difference if you do not have the work and you sign off less hours you should still be paid because it is up to the company to provide the work you should also get paid extra for work that you complete that you can not sign off the company is crooked and just like Enron

For those that don’t know, mechanical tasks have time associated with them for planning and comparison purposes. The times were calculated at one shop, once, or was simply guessed at. A job that took one mechanic 30 minutes on one locomotive with all the tools and parts next to him, might take 1 hour on a different locomotive without stuff handy, or 15 minutes on another unit that isn’t equipped with all the same stuff. And sometimes a manager simply said something like, “troubleshooting this should take an hour,” and viola.
So you can work all day on stuff and get 2 hours credit after you sign something off, or, in many situations, you can work for 6 hours and the computer thinks everything you did should’ve taken 20 hours.
Again, though, it’s a system designed to let mangers have a ballpark estimate of how much time a locomotive needs to be worked on by each craft, and a way to tell how many people they can furlough. It has nothing to do with how much work a person has done.
This strike will be the greatest of them all. Time to strike!
A big reason my arse left was a complete lack of union representation. In an industry where the workers cannot strike, no union exists. It's amazing now, coming from a job where I'm represented well, exactly how much sh!t I used to put up with as a railroader. You owe it to yourself to find employment where your boss at least recognizes that without the worker nothing would get done, and that it takes both union and management to further the company's goals and provide value to shareholders.
Unions have no teeth anymore!! They are just gumming on your money now,!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🥲😂🥲😂🤣
They aren’t going to be able to stop us when we strike this time. We got a union friendly admin now
The unions cannot get us a descent contract, do you really think they could win that?
TIME TO STRIKE BOYS!!!!!!
The union should file a lawsuit against the company? Has the unions ever filed suit against UP? I can’t remember one if they have. I don’t have knowledge of what you are saying in the post. It sounds like you are implying you are sometimes signing off for more hours than you work on a project and want pay for the hours you did not work. This sounds like cooking the books, not something a lawsuit would be called for. I think a judge would look unfavorably on the company for asking you to do this, and on you for doing it. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
That’s just f’ing stupid. Pro tip: saying “comma” or “period” while using voice recognition will add to the illusion that you’re intelligent. Having perfect spelling and no punctuation makes it obvious you didn’t type anything, and saying something so id–tic makes me wonder if you even could.
The union’s are in on it
Good luck with that!
