Thread regarding Splunk Inc. layoffs

This makes no sense to me

I don’t know about the rest of you, but our team lost their bet member in the latest round of layoffs. There are so many people who could have been laid off instead of him. People who can’t hold a candle to him in terms of knowledge or experience. Lazy people who are barely productive during work hours. All of them are still here and yet he’s gone. How is that even possible?

the manager who let them go were intimidated by them that's also the reason why, many times terminations are based on retribution for a perceived slight because of jealousy and feeling insecure, but it's the dumbest thing because it always makes it worse because those left behind are incompetent
